Vado Ligure

The ancient village of Vado, called in roman age Vada Sabatia, developed in the 2nd century before Christ, around to a camp of the Roman Empire, one of the first of the roman colonization in Liguria. Traces of the roman age can be found between the hamlets of San Ermete and of Ponte Isola: here there are the remains of the house of the roman consul Pertinace.

Today Vado Ligure is a picturesque city: the valorization of the coastal zone, the restoration of the bathing establishments and of the seaside promenade are the improvements that offer to the tourists an unforgettable vacation.

The beaches, long and sandy, the limpid sea and the luxuriant nature are the characteristics of this city, that offers also culture, entertainment and traditions. On 24 June, you must not lose the patron festivity of San Giovanni, with the traditional fireworks on the sea.
