Portofino

Portofino is perhaps the most famous town of the whole Liguria; it is situated the gulf of Tigullio, in a creek with a cape that create a unique natural scenery, among the most picturesque of Italy.

To truly visit Portofino means to take a walk in the famous "Piazzetta" that declines in the water of the sea and is surrounded by bars and shops, and in the summer it is animated by numerous shows, to walk until the lighthouse on the cape from where you can enjoy a breathtaking view, to discover the artistic beauties, like the Castle Brown, surrounded by a rich Mediterranean garden where the panorama is charming, and the church of San Giorgio, that was erected in Romanesque style in 1154 and to whose inside are guarded the relics of Saint George, patron of Portofino, brought by sailors coming back from the Crusades.

Portofino is therefore a village where the peace reigns, where the incomparable beauty of the nature is melted with the worldly pleasures; this town has something, that makes it one of the most wished touristic destinations of all the world.
